1. What are your shipping options?
Answer: Upon checkout, customer has the option to choose UPS regular ground shipping, 2nd day air or overnight air saver. Our charges for UPS shipping are based on dimensional weight. These charges will be displayed on your online receipt when you place an order. We are located in Pennsylvania. If orders are received by 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time, we will make every attempt to ship your order out the day it is received, Monday through Friday. Please allow 1-3 business days for delivery on the East Coast, 3-5 business days for the Midwest, and 5-7 business days for the West Coast. UPS ground service deliveries are made on Mondays through Fridays. We are unable to ship any packages out on Saturday or Sunday. Do not count Saturday, Sunday or holidays in the estimate for the number of days for your gift to arrive at its destination. (Example: If your gift is shipped on Monday, and it takes 5 business days to arrive, it will not get to its destination until the following Monday.)
Overnight shipping, 2nd day air are all available at an extra charge as shown at checkout. Please keep in mind that if you tell us to ship your gift by overnight air saver, those charges may range from approx. $50 - $100 or more than normal ground shipping, depending on the size of the package and the destination. 2nd day air charges are less than overnight charges, but usually range from $35 - $75 depending on the size of the package and the destination. If Saturday delivery is required, that usually adds an additional $15-$20 on top of the regular air charge. That extra Saturday delivery charge will need to be added to your total after we receive your order. These are all UPS charges, not our own charges. View the UPS Ground Shipping Map Here.
2. How do you confirm an order?
Answer: You will receive confirmation by e-mail of your order and you can also print out an online receipt. You will also receive a tracking number emailed to you from UPS once we have entered your order into our shipping system.
3. How are taxes calculated?
Answer: Taxes are calculated for all orders shipped to the state of Pennsylvania at a rate of 6%. Our shopping cart will calculate applicable taxes based on the information you enter into the shipping address fields.
4. What is your return policy?
Answer: Because all of our gifts are custom-designed when ordered, they are not returnable, unless something is damaged or defective. In this case, either a replacement, refund or store credit will be issued.
For individual non-food items ordered that are not part of a custom-designed gift, a 25% restocking fee will be charged for all items returned. These returns must be made in 7 to 10 business days from receipt of merchandise. Original shipping charges and return shipping charges will not be reimbursed. Food items can not be returned.
5. What is your product substitution policy?
Answer: In those rare instances when demand outstrips supply of a particular item within a gift basket, we reserve the right to replace that item with one of equal or greater value. Also, during hot summer months, chocolate items may need to be substituted with another food item that can withstand hot temperatures while being shipped. During cold winter months, fruit and bottled liquids cannot be shipped.
6. Do you hand-deliver locally?
Answer: We hand-deliver orders to Hanover-17331 and McSherrystown-17344. (We also hand-deliver to some addresses in Abbottstown-17301, Littlestown-17340, New Oxford-17350 and Spring Grove-17362. However, some addresses in these zipcodes may be outside of our hand-delivery area. Please call us for exact limits of our delivery area.) If your order is to be sent to someone within our local hand-delivery area, please choose that option at checkout. Hand-delivered gifts will normally be delivered within 24-48 hours provided proper recipient address and phone number is correctly supplied, and recipient can be reached by phone prior to delivery. Whenever possible, we will deliver the gift the same day that the order is received, Monday through Friday. We do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.
7. Do you ship to post office boxes?
Answer: UPS does not ship to post office boxes. If this is the only address you can supply, please call us and make arrangements with us to have the package shipped by the USPS. There may be an additional charge for us to take the package to the post office, depending on when the order must be shipped.
8. Do you ship internationally?
Answer: Yes, we ship all international packages by the USPS. Please call us with complete address information so that we can figure the shipping charges. This cannot be calculated online. You must call us for this quote.
9. How do I send gifts to multiple addresses?
Answer: If you wish to ship gifts to multiple addresses from the same recipient, you must place separate orders for each shipping address. You may also send us the order through email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include the complete name and address for each recipient and message for each gift card. Excel spread sheets work well for large orders with multiple addresses.
10. Can I send multiple gifts to one address?
Answer: Absolutely, you can ship as many gifts to one address as you wish! We may need to adjust the shipping rates that have been charged online to accommodate different size shipping boxes to contain all of your gifts. However, we will use the most economical size shipping boxes as possible. We will notify you by email of any change in the shipping charges for this type of multiple gift order.
11. Do you ship to patients in the hospital?
Answer: Yes, however, if your order is being sent to a hospital, please be certain that the recipient will still be a patient at the hospital by the time the gift arrives. It is usually best to send the package to the home, unless you are certain of the length of the hospital stay.
12. What are your retail store hours?
Answer: Our retail shop in downtown Hanover, PA is open Mondays thru Fridays - 10am - 3pm. Of course, you can place your order on our website 24/7.
