1. What are your shipping
options?
Answer:
All items ship via UPS
ground service. Our charges for UPS shipping are based on actual
weight. These charges will be displayed on your online receipt when
you place an order. We are located in Pennsylvania. If orders
are received by 1:00pm Eastern Standard Time, we will make every attempt to
ship your order out the day it is received. Please allow 1-3 business
days for delivery on the East Coast, 3-5 business days for the Midwest, and
5-7 business days for the West Coast. UPS ground service deliveries
are made on Mondays through Fridays.
Overnight shipping, 2nd day
air or 3-day select are all available at an extra charge. Please keep
in mind that if you tell us to ship your gift by overnight express, those
charges may range from approx. $50 - $100 or more, depending on the size of
the package and the destination. 2nd day air charges are less than
overnight charges, but usually range from $35 - $75 depending on the size of
the package and the destination. If Saturday delivery is required,
that usually adds an additional $15-$20 on top of the regular air charge.
These are all UPS charges, not our own charges. If we must ship the
package by air to get the gift to the destination within your time limits,
we will automatically add the difference for the shipping to your credit
card charges.
UPS charges a $2.90 remote
zipcode surcharge on any package going to a less accessible zipcode.
If this pertains to the shipping zipcode on your order, $2.90 will be added
to the total, once we receive the order here in our store. This charge
can only be figured and added to your invoice after we have received the
order. Your automatic online invoice will not show that additional
charge.
2. How do you
confirm an order?
Answer:
You will receive confirmation by
e-mail of your order and you can also print out an online receipt.
Please call or email us if you wish to have the
UPS tracking number for your order. Tracking numbers are not sent out
automatically
3. How are taxes
calculated?
Answer:
Taxes are calculated for all orders
shipped to the state of
Pennsylvania at a rate of 6%.
Our shopping cart will calculate applicable taxes based on the information
you enter into the shipping address fields.
4. What happens to
the information I give to Gifty Baskets?
Answer:
All information submitted to Gifty
Baskets is strictly confidential and will not be divulged to third parties.
We do not sell our client lists to vendors of e-mail addresses or other
advertising or marketing companies.
5. What is your return policy?
Answer:
Because all of our gifts are
custom-designed when ordered, they are not returnable, unless something is
damaged or defective. In this case, either a refund or store credit will be
issued. For individual items ordered that are not part of a custom-designed
gift, a 20% restocking fee will be charged for all items returned. These
returns must be made in 7 to 10 business days from receipt of merchandise.
6. What is your product substitution policy?
Answer:
In those rare instances when demand outstrips supply of a particular item within a gift basket, we reserve the right to replace that item with one of equal or greater value.
7. Do you hand-deliver locally?
Answer:
? If your order is to be sent to someone within our Hanover delivery area, we will hand-deliver your gift. In that case, the UPS charges already figured on your order will be deducted and appropriate delivery charges, ranging from $3.50 to $12.00 will be added. Hand-delivered gifts will normally be delivered within 24-48 hours provided proper recipient address and phone number is correctly supplied, and recipient can be reached by phone prior to delivery. Whenever possible, we will deliver the gift the same day that the order is received, Monday through Friday.
8. Do you ship to post office boxes?
Answer:
UPS does not ship to post office boxes. If this is the only address you can supply, please call us and make arrangements with us to have the package shipped by the USPS. There may be an additional charge for us to take the package to the post office, depending on when the order must be shipped.
9. Do you ship internationally?
Answer:
Yes, we ship all international packages by the USPS. Please call us with complete address information so that we can figure the shipping charges. This cannot be calculated online. You must call us for this quote.
10. Why do many of your gifts have varying packaging charges?
Answer:
If a gift basket is ordered, it will need to be put into another box to be shipped by UPS. The packaging charge covers the cost of the shipping box, special wrapping to protect the contents of the gift and the extra time that it takes to prepare your gift for shipping. (These charges do not need to be applied if the gift is being picked up in our store, or hand-delivered within our local delivery area.) The charge varies according to the size of the shipping box needed to contain the gift and the number of items that need to be bubble-wrapped, etc. If you have ordered a gift package, a small packaging charge may be needed to cover the cost of bubble-wrap for breakable items in the gift, for example, glass or ceramic items, our homemade cookies, etc.
